Online reflection 2

The thing I would like to reflect about is how it will be to be done with school and start to work full time. Like most of us I have had a summer job and between my military service and the time I started studying at Karlstad University I worked full time but I then I always knew that I would go back to the school-bench.

But soon my time as a student is over and it´s time to start searching for full time job. The thoughts are many, will I get my dreamwork? Will I get a job? Will I like my job? and so on. Probably I will not get my dreamwork at once it will probably take a while before I am there. If I don´t get a job I hope to be a homedad (it sounds pretty awesome). For me I don´t really care what kind of job I would get as long as I enjoy it and I am happy at the workplace. But who knows maybe I will start to study to be something different then I already study to.

The questions are many and the answers is few but I will find out what will happen in a near future.

  1. Interesting post, because I'm in the same position. It is very difficult to know which job you have to take right after school. The most important thing for me is to get a job in the field I have studied. Because, it's easy to fall back to the job you had before school.

It would be nice if you wrote a little about what you are studying at the university to make the post even more interesting. By doing so, it had emerged what you would like to work with after school.

  2. Hi Joackim,

You hit the nail on the head! Many soon to be graduated students have the same thoughts as yours. I think our educational system put a lot of pressure on students at an early age to decide what they want to work with in the future. Before you start high school you have to decide what direction to choose for future studies, natural science, social science and so on. The result from these studies is used for university application. Some people finish university, start working and regret their choice of work. They stick with the same job even thought they are not happy. I like that you are open-minded and have a lot of options. I also like that you choose happiness instead of making money and a career. Because of you’re attitude I’m pretty sure that you will fulfill you’re dreams, you’ll have a great happy life and a great career.

    Good luck in the future!

    Best regards,

    Maha
